Questions from clinic owners
Do we need to hire or contract a doctor?
No. That's the entire point, you get physician access on demand, per case. The physicians are independent contractors licensed in Ontario; you don't employ them and you carry no fixed physician overhead.
Who is legally responsible for the care?
The treating physician. They are the Health Information Custodian under PHIPA and are responsible for every clinical decision and document they sign. Health-E-Now is the technology platform that supports them.
How fast is it, really?
Most cases are seen the same day and many are resolved within the hour. You'll always be able to see the status of a case in your dashboard.
What does it cost?
Your first case is free. After that, a flat $49 per case, whatever the visit type. No subscriptions, no minimums, and no cost when you're not using it, you pay only for the cases you send.
